Hey, Librarians of Mastodon!*

Do any of your branches have gender neutral restrooms? Add them to Refuge Restrooms!

Refuge Restrooms seeks to provide safe restroom access for transgender, intersex, and gender nonconforming individuals. Users can search for restrooms by proximity to a search location, add new restroom listings, as well as comment and rate existing listings.

*Librarians of Mastodon is going to be the name of my Finnish nerdcore symphonic metal band.

@garrett @brightneedle Technically I'm not because I lack the MLIS degree. (Something I'm working on rectifying.) However, I've been in libraries for 22 years doing everything from public circulation to ILS and systems management. 🤓

@cyberpunklibrarian I added our gender neutral restrooms at my library. (Took me 2 years of saying, "But they are single stall, identical rooms. Why is one marked M and one marked F?")

@delibrarian Fantastic! And thank you!

I really have nothing to do with the project, but it only took me a couple of minutes to pop our branches into it! Not all of our branches have the gender neutral restrooms, but several do.

@cyberpunklibrarian Awesome! I'll add mine asap. :)

(I currently play the hand bells is that's a sound you might want to add to your band. 🤣 )

@Shoshana Hey, it's supposed to be symphonic metal! I suppose hand bells will fit in nicely next to the dark haired soprano! 😃

Great idea. Last year I had been to a university in Luzern and found this. Whatdo you think about it?
