Brad complains about purchasing, continued

It is literally Sisyphus, the Purchasing Process. I half expect us to be using the same product ANOTHER 5 years from now

Brad complains about purchasing, continued

I mean it's not like we're currently using a 30-year old system that only runs on Windows XP, thereby introducing a huge security hole into the City Network, and that my department has been trying to replace it for 5 years NO WAIT ALL OF WHAT I JUST SAID IS TRUE

RMS Vendor whom we have been stringing along because of purchasing nonsense, with whom we had preconfigured our data and who would have provided a product at a price point literally $10Ks lower than any other vendor we're looking at, has just withdrawn. I expected this but it still drives me into a murderous rage at our Purchasing Dept.

@libskrat @gmcharlt of course it is, because hash functions require the use of _numbers_

GLAMMRous SAA attendees, I will have board/card games in the conference hotel lobby starting around 7. Board Games: more "nerdy" than glamorous really, but fun anyway

It bugs me that I am porting over 4000 schedules just to decommission them over the course of the next few years. But recordkeeping is recordkeeping, and so I stand before you, a broken man

*mutters to self* someone would probably notice if these extraneous schedules were accidentally "lost" during migration, right? BUT WE HATES THEM PRECIOUS

I suspect if it were me, I would think the boss was more than a little off-kilter. Which, to be fair, is not wholly inaccurate. Related: Excel can die in a fire.

I can only imagine what my staff thinks is going on in my office when I am doing data cleaning. "No!" "Don't do that!" "Why are you like this?!"
